Payroll Services
Managing payroll means more than just calculating an employee's pay. Employers are responsible for calculating deductions, remitting payroll amounts to CRA, keeping payroll records, and preparing required tax slips.
We can help make payroll easier by taking care of the calculations, reporting, and payroll records for your business.
Payroll Calculation
We can calculate employee payroll based on the information you provide, including:
Regular hours • Overtime • Vacation pay • Statutory holiday pay • Bonuses • Other taxable earnings
Payroll Deductions
We calculate applicable deductions from each employee's pay, including:
Income Tax
Federal and provincial income tax deductions.
CPP Contributions
Employee and employer Canada Pension Plan contributions, where applicable.
EI Premiums
Employee and employer Employment Insurance premiums, where applicable.
Pay Stubs
We can prepare payroll information showing the employee's:
Gross pay • Deductions • Net pay • Year-to-date amounts
This gives both the employer and employee a record of each payroll period.
CRA Payroll Remittances
Payroll deductions withheld from employees, together with the employer's required CPP and EI portions, generally need to be remitted to CRA.
We can help calculate the amount that needs to be remitted and keep track of your payroll reporting periods and deadlines.
T4 & T4 Summary
At the end of the year, employers generally need to prepare and file T4 slips for employees and a T4 Summary with CRA.
We can prepare the year-end payroll information and T4 slips based on your payroll records.
Record of Employment (ROE)
An ROE may be required when an employee has an interruption of earnings, such as when they stop working or have certain types of leave.
We can assist with the payroll information needed for the ROE.
New Employee Setup
When you hire a new employee, we can help set them up in payroll and make sure the necessary payroll information is recorded.
Employers should obtain the applicable TD1 forms and employee information when setting up a new employee.
Payroll Records
Good payroll records are important. Employers should keep information such as:
Employee information • Hours worked • Wages • Vacation pay • Payroll deductions • Pay periods • CRA remittances • T4 information
Already Have Employees but Behind on Payroll?
If your payroll records or CRA remittances are behind, don't leave them unattended. We can review the information you have and help determine what needs to be brought up to date.
Need Payroll Services?
Whether you have one employee or a growing team, we can help you manage your payroll throughout the year.
Tell us your pay frequency, number of employees, and how you currently manage payroll, and we can determine what payroll services your business needs.
For your website layout, I would make the main boxes Payroll Calculation | Payroll Deductions | CRA Remittances | Pay Stubs | T4s | ROEs, then keep New Employee Setup and Behind on Payroll? as highlighted sections underneath.
